Location: ---First shelter
house south of the main entrance. Turn left on the second road, shelter house
on the corner.
Reservations for Friday and
Saturday have been made for the camping sites. There will be 50 amps electric
and water, and a dump station as you leave. Just tell gate attendant you have
reservations under Kansas Twisters. If you are 65 or older you will have to pay
$2.85 a day for your tow car. If under 65 of age you will have to pay $4.20 a
day for tow car.
Friday---Hot dogs and
hamburgers Bring a side dish.
Saturday---Reservations have
been made at a local restaurant for 6:00 pm. The food is home made each day.
Large Pizza is $15.99—Large Pasta plate is $16.99 per plate. We need a head
count for the restaurant as soon as possible, and if you want pasta or pizza.

There will be games to play
and a relaxed week end.
Near by towns are Eureka and

The KOA is located on Hwy 20 approximately 5 miles east of Claremore,
OK. It is easily accessible off
Interstate Hwy 44.

Rally fee will be determined by cost of
supplies.
NOTE: This weekend will be the GRAND OPENING
of the KOA.
There will be a Bar-B-Que, live band
& door prizes on Saturday and we will have a building for our club
activities throughout the campout.
Reduced camping rates and Casino Free plays as well as other benefits have
been reserved for the Twisters. On
Friday & Saturday evenings there will be live music and dancing There are over 400 camping spots available
with full hook ups.

There are many things to do within 20 miles of the
rally. The Will Rogers Dog Iron Ranch & Museum and J.M. Davis Arms &
Historical Museum that contains one of the worlds largest private collections
of firearms are at Claremore and both accepts voluntary donations. Vineyards & winery with wine tasting are
also very close by as well as Historic Route 66 stores, nut house, restaurants
and car collections. Over 300 antique
stores & dealers are in a 3 block area of downtown Claremore. If you like fishing – bring your poles as
Claremore lake has great fishing.

Take the Kansas Turnpike South to Cassidy - Highway #177 Exit, Go South on
Highway #177 to the Bluestem Park Entrance, on your right. Turn in to Park and
travel 2 miles to Camp Area #5 - Quail Run Campground.
From El
Dorado - Travel East on Highway #
54 -
5 miles to Highway #177. Turn
Left/North and travel to the Bluestem Park Entrance on left. Turn in to the Park and travel 2 miles to
Camp Ground Area 5 - Quail Run Campground.
Weekend Schedule:
Friday Night at
5:30 PM – Pot Luck followed by our Kansas Twisters business meeting,
Saturday Morning
at 8:30 AM – Bacon, Pancakes, coffee & orange juice,
Saturday – lunch
is on your own. During the day you may
want to tour the El Dorado Oil Museum, shop for antiques, etc.
Saturday Evening
at 5:30 PM – Mountain Oysters, Chicken Strips and baked beans. Bring any leftovers
you may have to share from the Friday night Pot Luck.
Sunday Morning at
8:30 AM – Albert’s pancakes with orange juice and coffee.
Camping Fees -
This is a State Lake. Area #5 has Water and Electric hook ups. There is a two-hole dumping station available.

coaches to utilize the clubhouse at no charge.
Make reservations with
the park and let us know by March 28 or as soon as you know if you will
be attending in order for the sites to be reserved together and so we can get
the correct number of meals planned. We will collect the money for reservations
when you arrive and we will turn it all in at one time in order to keep down
their paper work and to get this lower rate. This will include any early
arrivals also.
Itinerary for April Twisters Rally
At this point in time, we
do not have any officers attending except the National Director so we will not have
a business meeting. Therefore, you will have a lot of free time to take in the
local area. There are two Indian Casinos North of Topeka within a short
distance up highway 75.

has a very nice place and it is something to see in person. She also does
furniture refinishing. In the summer you can tour her flower gardens.
Exit
Hi way 77 to the west into Burns. Go to 4-way stop, turn right, (north)

Areletta's.
